China's New Military EMC Standard GJB151C-2024: Implementation Seminar Held in Suzhou

SUZHOU, May 22–23, 2025 — Co-organized by the Electromagnetic Technology Research Center of the China Electronics Standardization Institute, Suzhou 3CTEST, and the East China Branch of the China Electronics Standardization Institute, the "Military Equipment and Subsystem Electromagnetic Emission and Susceptibility Requirements and Measurements (GJB151C-2024) Standard Implementation Seminar" was successfully held on May 22–23 at Element Suzhou Science and Technology Town. The seminar aimed to provide an in-depth interpretation of the core content of the new military EMC standard and promote its standardized application in the development, testing and certification, and industrial chain collaboration of military equipment. It attracted more than 100 experts and representatives from research institutes, testing laboratories, and supporting enterprises.

Authoritative Interpretation: Building a Technical Consensus on Standard Implementation

The seminar focused on the key updates and application practices of the GJB151C-2024 standard, featuring systematic presentations by three senior experts.

• Ye Chang, Team Leader of the Electromagnetic Technology Research Center, China Electronics Standardization Institute, Senior Engineer, Secretary of the Military Standardization Technical Committee, and member of several sub‑committees of the National Radio Interference Standardization Committee. Research focus: electromagnetic environment effects and electromagnetic information security.

Collaborative Empowerment: Promoting High‑Quality Military‑Civilian Integration

As a benchmark event in China’s EMC community, the seminar strengthened the collaborative understanding of the GJB151C-2024 standard across the military supply chain.

A test equipment exhibition area was specially set up during the seminar. Suzhou 3Ctest Electronic Technology Co., Ltd.

Multiple interactive equipment demonstrations and dedicated Q&A sessions were held during the seminar. Attending experts engaged in in‑depth discussions on EMC design in equipment development and improvements in test scenario simulation accuracy, reaching a technical consensus.

The host, Suzhou 3Ctest Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., leveraging over 20 years of experience in military testing, demonstrated its independently developed high‑precision EMC testing systems, highlighting technological breakthroughs in domestically produced test equipment.

Deepened Services: Continuously Improving the Standard Implementation Support System

The seminar facilitated the comprehensive implementation of the GJB151C-2024 standard across the entire lifecycle of military equipment and subsystems — including development, design, production, testing, and procurement — thereby supporting the full deployment of EMC compliance for the new generation of military equipment.
