Introduction

The VSG 255 series impulse voltage simulators comply with the requirements of standards such as IEC 60255 and IEC 61036.

The VSG 255 series impulse voltage simulators are primarily designed for surge testing of the insulation, surface gaps, withstand voltage, and other electrical performance characteristics of components and units. The stored energy is fixed at 0.5 J at voltage levels of 0.5 kV, 1 kV, 1.5 kV, 2 kV, 2.5 kV, 3 kV, 4 kV, 5 kV, 6 kV, 8 kV, 10 kV, and 12 kV. The output impedance is 500 Ω.

VSG 255 Series Models: VSG 255-6 (0.5 kV ~ 6 kV), VSG 255-12 (6.0 kV ~ 12.0 kV).
