Purpose and Significance of the Test

This test simulates low-frequency magnetic field disturbances encountered in real-world environments to evaluate the immunity and functional performance retention of electronic components under such conditions, ensuring reliable and safe operation in actual vehicle environments.
It helps ensure functional and driving safety, as various low-frequency magnetic field sources present inside and around vehicles may interfere with sensitive electronic circuits, particularly sensors based on Hall-effect or magnetoresistive technologies, as well as inductors, transformers, and similar components.


Test Requirements

Standards such as ISO 11452-8 and SAE J1113-21 specify a test frequency range of DC to 150 kHz, with an AC magnetic field strength of 1000 A/m and a DC magnetic field strength of 3000 A/m.


3CTEST Test System Solution

The system is mainly designed for low-frequency magnetic field immunity testing of automotive electronic components and complies with the test methods specified in standards such as ISO 11452-8 and SAE J1113-21. The test frequency range covers DC to 200 kHz, with an AC magnetic field strength of 1000 A/m and a DC magnetic field strength of 3000 A/m. By using a high-field radiating loop, the system can also achieve AC magnetic fields up to 1500 A/m and DC magnetic fields up to 4000 A/m.
