Introduction

The CCC 100 capacitive coupling clamp complies with standards including IEC 61000-4-4, IEC 61000-4-18 and GB/T 17626.4. It is used to couple electrical fast transient (EFT) bursts onto I/O lines.

Discrete capacitors are generally incapable of coupling EFT bursts to signal cables, as they fail to transmit disturbance currents effectively. Direct connection to target lines, coaxial cables or shielded cables is often unfeasible. Under such circumstances, coupling is achieved via a capacitive coupling clamp. The disturbance simulator can be connected to either side of the coupling fixture.
