The VSS 181 Spike Voltage Simulator is designed to meet the test requirements of GJB 181-86, GJB 181A and RTCA/DO-160E.

The VSS 181 is capable of generating up to 100 polarity alternating voltage spike signals to DUT in one second, the pulse interval can be set randomly from 0.5 s to 99.9 s and peak voltage can be set from 30 V to 600 V, which can meet the requirement of spike signal sensitivity test on airplane power line. Polarity can be set to only positive, only negative, positive first then negative, negative first and then positive. The output impedance can be arbitrarily selected among 10 Ω, 30 Ω and 50 Ω.DC coupling and protective network are built in.
