The LSG 4606 Impulse Current Generator is designed to simulate indirect lightning effects on airborne equipment in accordance with SAE ARP5416A Chapter 6.1.6 and RTCA DO-160 Section 22. It generates 6.4/69 μs lightning current impulses up to 8 kA for aircraft lightning protection testing.

Introduction

The LSG 4606 Impulse Current Generator is designed to simulate indirect lightning effects on airborne equipment in accordance with SAE ARP5416A Chapter 6.1.6 and RTCA DO-160 Section 22. It generates 6.4/69 μs lightning current impulses up to 8 kA for aircraft lightning protection testing.

The system consists of a control unit (MCS 2000-6U) and a current generator (LSG 4606), enabling remote operation for safe and efficient testing.
