EN 12895 is the European standard that sets the electromagnetic compatibility requirements for industrial trucks. The category covers far more than the familiar counterbalance forklift: it includes reach trucks, pallet trucks, order pickers, towing tractors, rough-terrain trucks and the automated guided vehicles that now move goods in warehouses, and all of them combine a large electric drive, a battery or an internal combustion engine, electronic control systems and radio equipment for communication or for fleet management. The standard specifies both emission limits, which protect other equipment and the radio spectrum, and immunity requirements, which ensure that a truck keeps working when it is operated close to other machines, to welding equipment or to a radio transmitter. Because industrial trucks are used in an industrial environment, the immunity levels are higher than those applied to domestic products. The standard defines the operating conditions under which the truck is tested, the ports to be assessed and the acceptance criteria.
The MFS 1000D is a DC magnetic field immunity simulator complies with BS EN 12895. It is designed for DC magnetic field immunity testing of industrial trucks.
The magnetic field coil TCXS 3360 complies with IEC/EN 61000-4-8 and BS EN 12895.
