JASO D 001 is a standard of the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan and sets out general rules for the environmental testing of automotive electronic equipment, which makes it the entry point to a family of Japanese industry documents rather than a requirement in itself. The value of such a document lies in the conventions it fixes: the reference conditions under which tests are performed, the way a specimen is prepared and mounted, the treatment of the temperature and humidity during a test sequence, the number of samples required and the criteria by which a result is judged. Because the Japanese automotive industry uses these conventions consistently, equipment qualified to them can be compared between suppliers, and the individual test methods of the family then define each category of stress, including the electrical and electromagnetic conditions, in more detail.
The TIS 700S is capable of independently performing fully compatible automotive electronics micro-pulse tests. Featuring a modular design, it includes 10 waveform modules: JASO D001 Pulse A2, B2, and D2; NISSAN 28400 NDS03 Pulse B2
