IEC 60384-14 is the sectional specification for fixed capacitors intended for electromagnetic interference suppression and for direct connection to the supply mains. These components are safety-critical: a short circuit in a capacitor placed across the line, or a breakdown in one connected between line and earth, can start a fire or expose a user to mains potential, so the standard imposes requirements far stricter than those for ordinary capacitors. Capacitors are classified as X type, used between lines, and Y type, used between line and earth, and each class is subdivided according to the impulse voltage the component must withstand. The specification defines the preferred ratings, the permitted tolerances, and a test programme that includes voltage proof at power frequency and with impulses, insulation resistance and capacitance stability after damp heat, endurance testing at elevated temperature for a thousand hours, active flammability, and a destructive test in which the capacitor is subjected to a current surge that must not cause flaming. Marking and the safety approval information required on the body are also specified.
The VSG 384A impulse voltage simulator is developed in accordance with IEC 60384-14 and UL 60384-14 standards. It can generate a 1.7/46 μs pulse voltage waveform with a maximum output voltage of 15 kV.
The VSG 384B impulse voltage simulator is developed in accordance with IEC 60384-14 and UL 60384-14 standards. It can generate a 1.6/47 μs pulse voltage waveform with a maximum output voltage of 15 kV.
• Using the product inquiry function can help you quickly learn about the product's price and other related information.
• You can either inquire about a single product directly, or select multiple products to add to the inquiry bar and inquire about them together.
• How to make an inquiry

1. Using the product comparison function can help you find the target product you need for selection more quickly and easily.
2. You can add up to 5 products for comparison. Product models and parameters may vary across different series. It is recommended to compare products within the same series.
3. How to use the comparison bar.
